There's a Bat in my House

I went to bed early on tuesday night - when i woke up the next morning, my mom told me about her night. Apparently, she was slowly falling asleep with my sister and the baby, when she saw a shadow against the wall. For some reason she thought it was someone walking past the house, leaving a shadow. Then she realized it was a bat flying/hovering above the bed. She freaked out, warned my sister, grabbed the baby like a football, and ran out of the room. I guess my sister was having a hard time getting out of the bed, cause my mom was yelling at her to hurry up.I did not hear any of this.. i must have been out cold.I heard the story, but for some reason it didnt register that the bat might still be in the house. I guess i assumed they got rid of the bat before falling back asleep. So when i got home from work that day i thought nothing of it -- Until my sister went upstairs. My mother and I hear this yell... and new she saw the bat! it was flying around her as she went upstairs... so she ran into her room and shut the door.We locked the glass doors into the foyer, and could see the bat flying around for like 10 minutes. We were screaming soo hard everytime it flew by the glass doors, we were sure the neighbours would call the cops.So for the rest of the night, we taped up the vents and camped in the living room.. I'm still to freaked out to sleep upstairs... and will probably crash downstairs until i move back to my non-bat house in london.

Take a few Steps back from your monitor

I was walking down Princess street in Kingston last weekend, when I came across a young girl topless, stradeling some guy sitting on a park bench. It looked like she was wearing a loin-cloth that was skin-colored; it was hiked up past her thighs. So walking by this girl it looked like she was barenaked. It was really wierd to see a topless girl in the middle of a busy city. I was with my sister, parents, and 3 month old nephew.. who thought it was hilarious. My sister wanted to take a picture to show her husband (who wouldnt believe a naked woman downtown apparently) - but was way to embarassed. So my dad of all people took the picture. I do not remember at all when the piece of legislastion, allowing women to walk the streets topless passed. It sounds vaguely familiar, but i always thought it was restricted to the beach. If women can walk the streets topless, why am i just now (at 20 years old) seeing boobs for the first time.Altho one of my best features (sad, but true) I dont know if i could walk down a street full of people barechested... I'd definetly have to work on my abs first.Kingston, August 2005
